Rajini in Bangalore
Actor Rajinikanth along with his wife Latha Rajnikanth rushed to Bangalore to call on yesteryear actress Bharathi, wife of Vishnuvardhan, who passed away recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajini said, 'I know him for the past three decades. We were very good friends. In fact, it was Vishnuvaradhan who asked me to act in Tamil films.'
Rajinikanth, whose 'Chandramukhi' was a remake of Vishnuvaradhan's Apthamithra, said: Vishnuvaradhan was doing a sequel to 'Apthamithra', titled 'Aptharaksha'. He wanted me to remake it in Tamil.
I lost a good friend whom I know for several years. It is a big loss to me, he said.
